I got out four articles for you guys last week so basically, I am crushing it, right? I’ve got a lot of info for you today so let’s get started!
If you followed me on IG this week then you know that I took on two new clients and I have been so overwhelmed because I didn’t have a good schedule set in place. I ended up working 17 hours one day this week and my head almost exploded. To make up for my absence in our home lives Eddie cleaned the house for me this week, did all the laundry, and made dinner (or brought me home Chick-fil-a) every night. He really picked up the slack and by the time Friday afternoon rolled around we decided it was time to start our weekend. So Eddie and I decided to log offline and go get some food and drinks. We spent a few hours talking while chowing down on chips, salsa, and cheese dip while drinking jumbo margaritas. Once we were both so full that we couldn’t even breathe we decided that maybe it was time to head home for the evening. I love when we just spend hours together talking about silly things and put aside all the distractions of the outside world. I don’t love the fact that we always spend 3x more on alcohol than food but you can’t win them all.
Saturday we woke up bright and early, got ready and headed out to run errands for the day. With me being so busy the following week I had no time to get groceries or props for upcoming photo shoots! We probably went to 10 different stores, we ended up having lunch at a new spot that just may become our new favorite go to restaurant when we can’t make up our minds, and we even picked up some props from Home Depot so I could finally build some props for photo shoots. We had been out of the house for seven hours and by the time we got home I was tired and needed a little time to recharge so what did I do? I worked. I’ve got an issue. Eddie finally pulled me away from my computer and told me he was going to make my favorite dinner as a thank you for all the hard work I had been doing this week. He ended up making me his famous fettuccine alfredo with chicken, broccoli, sun-dried tomatoes and fresh parmesan. It was so delicious that I basically went into a food coma and waddled myself to bed without Eddie.
Sunday we were supposed to get brunch with my sister and then go to a new farmers market I found in Minneapolis but life had its own plans. Basically, Eddie’s mommy told him a scary story Saturday night and he couldn’t sleep so he stayed up till 3 am (Yes, I am patronizing him. Please re-read that in your most mocking voice)! I ended up waking up alone to a house that was a complete disaster. Eddie had stayed up late doing a little drinking and playing video games by himself and when I walked into the living room I found his guitar for Guitar Hero on the coffee table and his pants on the floor. So I’m assuming things got really intense. I would have just gone to brunch with my sister alone but she slept in til 12 pm so I just spent the morning working on my editorial calendar for the week and cleaning up the house after Eddie’s solo rager from the night before. The rest of the afternoon was spent meal prepping our lunches for the week, making my photo props, and stuffing my face with leftover fettuccine.
