How to Make Your House Smell like Christmas

Happy holidays my dears! We’re only 10 days till Christmas and I am so excited! The house is decorated, most of the presents are wrapped and now all I’ve been needing to do is whip up my yearly Christmas sent concoction. I’ve been making it for years now and it honestly makes your house smell like you’re sitting in the middle of a huge Christmas festival drinking mulled wine! It’s AMAZING! So without further ado here is my recipe for How to Make Your House Smell like Christmas. Plus, I added in my yearly Christmas playlist that I start listening to in November!

How to Make Your House Smell like Christmas

  • 2 cups of fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup of pomegranate seeds
  • 3 oranges sliced
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 small branch fresh pine
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • water

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a medium-size saucepan. Fill the pot with water until it reaches 3/4 the way full. Place the pot on the stove and bring to a boil. Once boiling reduce the heat to a simmer for 4-5 hours. Keep adding water so it does not dry out. You may reuse the recipe for next few days just make sure to keep adding water.

This is great to make before guests come over or on Christmas eve and it literally only takes 5 minutes to get together!

Christmas Playlist

I need to try this, minus the cinnamon. Also, just made THE BEST and MOST RIDICULOUS Christmas playlist ever. I’m going to sing along and laugh every time I’m in the car the rest of the season.

I love the way this would smell with the cranbe, pine, and oranges! Youve got all the greatest tunes on the playlist. I dont know who sings it but i like the “i want a hippo for chr song”. Im a weirdo, hah. I cant be its so close!

This looks and I bet smells gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and what a great idea!
