Hello, my love! I haven’t had a chance to do one of these series since December. I wanted to focus more on self-care and wellness this month and I challenge you to take on each of these five tasks challenges with me.
Self Care & Love: It’s February and the month of love. But one important question I want you to ask yourself is why do we put so much value on a relationship to make us feel loved? Why can’t we do that for ourselves? So this month I challenge you to write a love letter to yourself. Don’t wait for someone else to tell you all how wonderful you are, do it yourself!
Wellness: Invest in researching a new wellness routine you want to accomplish and find a way to incorporate it into your daily schedule. For me this month I am coming up with ways to make sure I am getting enough water every day. I am notoriously bad at drinking water and usually only have like 1, maybe two cups a day. I really want to invest in a large water bottle that will keep it cold and make sure I am drinking between 8-10 cups a day.
Strech: So I don’t know the in’s and out of your day and if you work on your feet, or sit all day like me, or if you’re a student or mother running around all day. No matter what your day looks like take a minute or two for yourself each hour and get up and stretch to help release tension in your muscles and body. It really does make such a difference in your mental and physical health.
Host a brunch party: While it’s still cold outside invite some friends over on Sunday morning and made some homemade cinnamon rolls or french toast together and snuggle up with some cozy blankets and candles and binge some of your favorite shows while sipping on mimosas. Here is the link to one of my favorite french toast recipes: Banana and Nutella Stuffed French Toast.
Wake up before sunrise once this month: Get dressed and head to your favorite spot in the city so that you can watch the sunrise. Don’t stop there though, wander around the city for the day and get to know your city again.
